Patti Borger declares candidacy for State Representative!

Patti Borger is the former Patricia Postupack of West Penn Township and a long-time resident of Carbon County.  With her husband, Kevin Borger, she owns and operates a tree farm in Mahoning Township.  She has owned her own business, “Home Interiors & Gifts” in the past, and her business was recognized as one of the national sales leaders.  She currently works as an activity and event coordinator, HR director and community and charitable outreach specialist at the Roba Family Farms in North Abington Township, which attracts thousands annually to its Halloween and Christmas events.

Borger is also the former President of the Pennsylvania Tree Growers’ Association and was the first woman to hold that position.  She was selected for the inaugural class of “Carbon Leadership,” which is organized by The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce to train the future leaders of Carbon County. She has been active in Carbon County Democratic politics, serving as a member of the County Democratic Executive Board and as Area Vice-Chair for the Lehighton Area.

Patti states: “If elected, I will bring my leadership experience as a business owner and a farmer to the House of Representatives.  I will work to bring good family-supporting jobs to Carbon County.  I will work to restore funding to our schools and stop the rise in property taxes.  I want to make sure that our seniors are not pushed out of their homes by rising property taxes. And finally, as an avid outdoors person, I will protect our water, our environment and our game and wildlands.  These natural gifts are what make Carbon County unique and beautiful.”
